EMOTIONAL POETRY

Lost in the dark, and I'm quite scared.

For all of this, I'm unprepared.

I'm filled with fright.

It'll be a long night.

Come morning, I hope all's repaired.

Making animals feel they're less

is the ultimate unkindness.

It should be addressed,

and stopping it stressed.

It's something we all should repress.

There's now an urgency in me.

Anticipation's been set free

to find my place,

to then embrace,

everything that I'm meant be.

I'm a bird of a different feather,

and while they laughed, I wondered whether,

it's best to say goodbye,

to those that make you cry,

and find a new flock altogether.
