Emotional Theater is an educational platform designed to help people strengthen Emotional Intelligence and Durable Skills through focused, practical learning experiences called EQ Guides.
This page explains how Teen+ works, what information young people may provide, what parents and guardians should know, and what Emotional Theater does—and does not—offer.
What Is Teen+?
Teen+ is designed for users age 13 and older.
A Teen+ user can build an EQ Guide around an emotion, thought, relationship, decision, EQ skill, or Durable Skill they want to explore.
Each Guide is designed to help the user:
Notice what may be happening
Understand one idea more clearly
Practice one useful skill
Carry one takeaway into everyday life
An EQ Guide is educational. It is not a test, diagnosis, treatment plan, or replacement for adult support.
What Is an EQ Guide?
An EQ Guide is a short AI-generated learning experience built around one selected focus.
A Guide may include:
A clear explanation of an emotion, thought, or skill
Reflection questions
A practical strategy
A takeaway worth remembering
An idea for continued practice
The Guide does not tell a young person what to feel or make a decision for them. It is intended to help them slow down, think more clearly, and consider a constructive next step.
How Personalization Works
Personalization is optional.
A Teen+ user may add a small amount of context about what they want to understand, practice, or remember. The AI Mentor may use that information to shape the Guide’s language, examples, and takeaway.
A user may also skip personalization and receive a complete ready-to-use Guide based only on the selected focus.
Young people should not submit:
Full names
Home or school addresses
Phone numbers or personal email addresses
Passwords
School schedules
Financial information
Medical records
Private information about another person
Any information that is not necessary to build the Guide
Parents and guardians should remind young users that they do not need to share every detail to receive a useful Guide.
Age Requirements
Teen+ accounts are intended for users age 13 and older.
A user who is identified as younger than 13 may not independently create or complete a Teen+ membership.
Younger learners may participate only through an Emotional Theater pathway specifically designed for and authorized by a parent, guardian, school, organization, or other responsible adult, when such a pathway is available.
Users should provide accurate age information during registration.
The Role of Artificial Intelligence
The AI Mentor uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content based on a user’s selections and optional personalization.
The AI Mentor is not a person and does not form a personal relationship with the user. It does not independently know the young person or understand their complete circumstances.
AI-generated content can sometimes be incomplete, inaccurate, overly general, or unsuitable for a particular situation. Young users should be encouraged to question the content, use their judgment, and speak with a trusted adult when a situation is important, confusing, or sensitive.

The Role of Parents and Guardians
Emotional Theater supports learning, but it does not replace involved adults.
Parents and guardians can help by:
Asking what skill or topic the young person selected
Reviewing a Guide together when appropriate
Discussing which ideas feel useful
Helping the young person apply a takeaway safely
Encouraging questions rather than demanding a particular answer
Reminding the young person not to share identifying information
Seeking qualified support when a situation requires more than an educational tool
A helpful opening question may be:
“What part of the Guide felt useful—or did not feel right to you?”
Privacy and Account Information
Information submitted through Emotional Theater may include account information, age-verification information, selected learning topics, and optional personalization.
Our Privacy Policy explains:
What information is collected
Why it is collected
How it is used
Whether service providers process it
How long it is retained
How it is protected
How eligible users may request access, correction, or deletion
What rights may be available to parents and guardians
Parents and guardians should review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before supporting a young person’s use of the platform.
Safety and Sensitive Situations
Emotional Theater may use automated safety controls to identify requests that are inappropriate, unsafe, or outside the educational purpose of the service.
A request may be limited, redirected, or declined when the system determines that it cannot respond appropriately.
Emotional Theater is not:
Therapy or counseling
Medical or mental-health treatment
A diagnostic service
A monitoring service
An emergency or crisis service
A substitute for supervision or professional care
If a young person may be in immediate danger or needs urgent assistance, contact a trusted responsible adult, qualified professional, local emergency service, or appropriate crisis-support service.
Does Emotional Theater Monitor Young People?
Emotional Theater should not be presented as a tool that continuously watches, supervises, or evaluates a young person.
Parents and guardians should not assume that the platform will identify every concerning situation or notify them about everything a young person enters.
The platform’s safety controls are limited and should not replace attentive adult involvement.
Respecting a Teen’s Growing Independence
Emotional learning works best when young people feel respected rather than watched or judged.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to:
Be curious without demanding disclosure
Avoid treating a Guide as proof of what happened
Discuss ideas without using the Guide as a scorecard
Respect reasonable privacy while remaining available
Focus on learning and practice rather than perfection
An EQ Guide offers a starting point for reflection. It does not provide a complete account of a young person’s feelings, relationships, or experiences.
Using Guides Together
A parent, guardian, or mentor may use a Guide to begin a constructive conversation.
Try asking:
“What idea stood out to you?”
“Did anything feel inaccurate?”
“What would make this more useful?”
“Is there one skill you want to try?”
“Would you like help, or would you prefer time to think?”
The goal is not to force agreement. The goal is to help the learner build clarity, language, and confidence.
