Emotional Theater is a learning community built around curiosity, respect, reflection, and practice. These Community Guidelines explain how members are expected to use our website, AI Mentor, EQ Guides, and related services.
By using Emotional Theater, you agree to follow these Guidelines, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
Use Emotional Theater for Learning
Emotional Theater is designed to help people explore Emotional Intelligence and Durable Skills.
Use the platform to:
Understand emotions, thoughts, relationships, and choices
Strengthen communication and critical-thinking skills
Prepare for constructive conversations
Practice one useful idea at a time
Support learning at home, at school, at work, or in the community
Do not use Emotional Theater to harm, deceive, intimidate, exploit, or manipulate another person.
Treat People With Respect
People may have different experiences, identities, abilities, cultures, values, and ways of communicating.
Do not submit or share content that:
Harasses, threatens, humiliates, or bullies someone
Promotes hatred or discrimination
Targets someone because of a protected characteristic
Encourages exclusion, retaliation, or humiliation
Uses another person’s experience as entertainment
Pressures someone to disclose private information
Disagreement is allowed. Abuse is not.
Protect Personal Information
Only provide information that is necessary to build an EQ Guide.
Do not submit:
Passwords or account credentials
Home or school addresses
Phone numbers
Personal email addresses
Financial or payment information
School schedules or precise location information
Medical records
Government identification numbers
Confidential workplace or educational records
Private information about another person
Do not identify another person by full name when describing a situation. Use general terms such as “a friend,” “a classmate,” “a family member,” or “a coworker.”
Respect Consent and Boundaries
Do not use Emotional Theater to pressure, monitor, test, diagnose, or control another person.
An EQ Guide should not be used as:
Proof that your interpretation is correct
A judgment of another person’s character
A substitute for listening
A way to force someone into a conversation
A disciplinary score or psychological evaluation
Permission to ignore another person’s boundaries
A Guide offers ideas for reflection. It does not determine another person’s intentions, feelings, or needs.
Do Not Misuse the AI Mentor
You may not use the AI Mentor to:
Generate harassment, threats, or discriminatory material
Impersonate another person
Create deceptive or fraudulent content
Invade someone’s privacy
Encourage dangerous or unlawful conduct
Circumvent age, account, or safety protections
Attempt to access another member’s account or data
Interfere with the platform’s operation
Present AI-generated content as professional diagnosis or treatment
Misrepresent an EQ Guide as a verified fact about another person
Do not attempt to manipulate the AI Mentor into providing content outside its educational purpose.
Keep Content Age-Appropriate
Teen+ is intended for users age 13 and older.
Users younger than 13 may not independently create a Teen+ membership. Younger learners may participate only through an approved parent, guardian, school, organization, or other responsible-adult pathway when one is available.
Adults must not use Emotional Theater to exploit, groom, sexualize, intimidate, or establish inappropriate contact with a young person.
Educational Use Only
Emotional Theater and its AI Mentor provide educational content. They do not provide therapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or emergency support.
Do not rely on an EQ Guide as the sole basis for an important decision.
When a situation requires professional judgment or urgent assistance, contact an appropriate qualified professional, trusted responsible adult, local emergency service, or crisis-support service.
Respect Intellectual Property
Only submit content you created, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally permitted to provide.
Do not use Emotional Theater to copy, distribute, or misrepresent another person’s protected work.
Be Honest About AI-Generated Content
If you share or adapt an EQ Guide, do not falsely claim that it was written or approved by a therapist, counselor, educator, employer, medical professional, or other person unless that person actually reviewed and approved it.
AI-generated content may contain mistakes. Review it before relying on it or sharing it with others.
Reporting Concerns
If you encounter content or behavior that appears to violate these Guidelines, please use our website contact form.
When reporting a concern, provide only the information necessary for us to understand the issue. Do not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
Enforcement
When we reasonably believe these Guidelines have been violated, Emotional Theater may:
Decline or limit a Guide request
Remove content
Restrict access to a feature
Suspend or terminate an account
Preserve information when legally required
Take other action permitted by our Terms of Service
Our response may depend on the seriousness, frequency, context, and potential impact of the conduct.
Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as Emotional Theater, its technology, and its community evolve.
The date at the top of this page shows when the Guidelines were most recently updated.
